LOOK

They are ideal for achieving a bare leg look and are available in a wide variety of deniers and shades to suit your skin tone.

OCCASION

These tights will keep your legs cool in warm weather and are a perfect choice to wear to work or formal and special occasions.

CALF SIZE

They are not a perfect match for women with big calves, because they won't slim your calf visually. They are best for women with a small or medium size calves.

STYLE ADVICE

These tights don't hide anything - but simply smoothing your legs. That means they won't cover up blemishes, veins, scars or other mark. Plus they won't slim down visually bigger calves. So, my advice is that they are best worn by women who have a small to average calf size and have a perfect skin that can be shown off in these "bare leg tights". So, best to buy them always a size bigger in order to avoid overstretching, which will result in runs as well use some hosiery gloves to avoid that your nails are causing runs on your tights.

These tights are slightly thicker in denier and therefore are a little more durable for everyday wear.

OCCASION

Choose a matt finish for a natural look and go for shine for a more noticeable appearance. This denier is ideal for work, formal occasion and can be worn all year around indoors. Not an ideal choice for any cold weather clothing indoors or outdoors since this denier will feel to "summery and thin" when pairing it up with wool or any other cold weather outfits.

STYLE ADVICE

They are suitable for all women, but as they are thicker they are great for women who have a mature skin, because the thicker denier will "energise" a dull, tired and a less elastic skin. Plus if they are chosen as well in a darker colour they will have a visual slimming effect on a bigger calf and can provide a small cover up for any markings on the leg. Also, I would always choose them in a bigger size in order to avoid overstretching and ultimate runs in the tights, but also I would always keep a spare one for work, so you won't run around all day long with runs in your tights.

21 TO 40 DENIER

LOOK

They are a stronger and longer lasting than and will provide your legs more coverage but your skin will remain still visible.

OCCASION

They are great choice for cooler months and will work with any cold weather outfits and make a great choice for skirt suits to work in the colder weather and will keep the look elegant and professional.

STYLE ADVICE

This denier is suitable for an age group and when chosen in a darker colour- due to its higher denier- a great choice for women who want to visually slim down their calves and knees and provide a good cover up for skin irregularities. These tights are popular with women who are more on the go and prefer a low maintenance with their hosiery, because they are more resistant and less prone to runs.

GENERAL ADVICE FOR HOSIERY

 In British English, the word "tights" means pantyhose, whereas American English uses this word only for thicker leg coverings, such as those worn by ballet dancers.

Most American women use the word "stockings" generically, to refer to any sheer leg covering, whether pantyhose, thigh highs, or stockings held up by garters.

Wikipedia defines the stocking as a garment that covers the "foot and lower part of the leg," and tights as "sheathing the body from about the waist to the feet." Their definition of pantyhose begins with "also called tights."

 Let's say:

Denier: Tights are measured in Deniers, a unit of density measurement how thick hosiery is. The lower the denier, the finer the yarn, the more sheer the tights are. The higher the denier, the more opaque are the hosiery. Opaque tights are heavier in denier and therefore warmer. Deniers range from less than 10 to over 50. However, for the appearance of bare legs, it is necessary to choose around 10 denier or less.

General Guidelines
Less than 10 denier = ultra sheer,
10-20 denier = sheer,
25-35 denier = semi-opaque,
40+den = opaque
