A guide in “how to”

I can’t say this enough.
Shape and compression products are not like “regular” pantyhose, they are harder to get on, stiffer and tighter to the feel.
There is a certain technique to it, getting dressed and if not done carefully and you pull to hard, even the best quality hoisery can tear.
So let me give you a little re-run in “how to”…
For thicker denier tights and leggings.

1. Always start by stretching your pantyhose. This is done to align the fibers after being folded and packed.
2. Since compression and shape wear are tighter, a tip is to start sitting down. One leg at the time, collect the whole leg up to the toe and dress both legs parallel, one bit at a time and make sure the material gets an even spread.
Do not pull from feet all the way up in one go, the chance that you’ll rip a hole is pretty big.
3. Continue to evenly divide the material all the way up and make sure to place functions, like tummy support and “butt lift” in the right places.
4. If you feel like the material needs to be adjusted after your pantyhose is in place, do so by gently lifting up the material, bit by bit in the direction you want it to go.
Remember, sharp jewelry, long or sharp nails, unkept feet and rough pulling and stretching are all working against the life span of your pantyhose.
For thinner denier tights.

1. Start by lightly stretching your tights.
2. Same as with thicker denier tights, as you sit, collect the whole leg up to the toe and dress both legs parallel. Bit by bit make sure the material gets divided equally.
3. Continue in the same manner all the way up the legs.
4. If you feel the need to adjust the material do so by using your hand, from the inside of the pantyhose. Here it’s extra important to make sure you’re not wearing any sharp jewelry that can tear holes.
Another important part, to increase the life span of your tights, is how you wash and care for them.
  • Follow washing instructions
  • Wash in laundry bag or by hand
  • Never use fabric softener, as it softens the fibers.
  • Hang dry. Never dry your hosiery in the dryer.
  • Store your pantyhose in the box or a separate bag or drawer where it can’t get snagged on zippers and sharp items.
